Residence du Port is situated alongside the Marina and just a short stroll to the beach and sea-front Boulevarde with many pavement cafes with tables under parasols under the sun. The town centre with various shops, restaurants, daily indoor market and small supermarkets is just around the corner. The Mayor of Valras is a Doctor and 'yes' you can drink the water, the beach is cleaned every morning as are all the pavements and the rubbish is emptied daily.
To find Valras Plage on the map - it's that part of France Mediterranean coast that bends round towards Spain. Between Montpellier and Carcassonne is BEZIERS and Valras-Plage is south of there on the coast. The studio apartment is situated in RESIDENCE DU PORT the building shown to the right immediately above the 'S' in VALRAS- you can see it is in an excellent spot . There is a long sea-front boulevarde with lots of cafes with tables and parasols in the sun- waiter served just sit and watch the amazing world of French fashion pass by.  There are approx twenty restaurants in Valras with menus and prices to suit all tastes and pockets.  Or buy dew-fresh from the local producers each morning and have lunch on the balcony.

 

 The studio flat is modern and has tiled floors throughout. It has a balcony with striped awning and table and chairs so you can eat out here.  In the living area is a coffee table with large lamp, settee, pine dining table and four chairs. There is a TV receiving French channels - ideal if you or your children are learning French. There is a bathroom with bath with shower above and wash-basin, a separate WC and a 'lobby' area with full size bunks. The Settee converts to a comfortable double bed what the French call a 'click clack' please don't be put off by this - it is large and very comfortable. The apartment is kept spotlessly clean by Cecile our 'housekeeper' who will get all ready for you. The decor is 'Habitat' style - modern, simple and clean.     Residence du Port is shown below-there is usually ample parking just in front or a short stroll away alongside the marina.

There is a daily 'indoor' market where local producers sell their pates, saucisson, terrines, an incredible variety of fish, tasty fish soups, dew fresh vegetables and fruit galore- take your camera there are some very unusual fish to photograph. click here to go back to main page.
